I'll overwhelm 'serious boxer' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua
The British boxer will face Jake Paul in an eight-round match which will be shown live on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua said he will "dominate completely" the American and "defeat" his opponent as the two fighters confronted each other to promote the upcoming boxing match.
Former two time unified heavyweight champion Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Boxer's Mentality
"I'm going to injure his face and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.
"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.
"I intend to seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my goal."
Civil Interaction
Despite such comments, a calm Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - usually recognized for his theatrics - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.
Jake Paul rather attacked ex Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "a joke" after Ngannou rejected a fight offer.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Joshua, meanwhile, criticized British rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a large bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul win.
"Jake Paul outshines Fury - he's present here," the boxer said.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Opponent
In spite of saying he intends to damage his opponent, Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he stated.
Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since turning professional.
He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.
Financial Success
Still, the novice continues to be one of the sport's biggest financial successes, consistently making substantial financial rewards.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28 year old predicted a KO victory in rounds four or five and stated he would derail the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly under discussion for two years from now.
"It will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.
Size Disparity
As the two fighters met for the usual confrontation, with their physical disparity on show, it highlighted just how improbable this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the bout is really happening.
